The Hypergeometric Probability Distribution is appropriate for extracting a sample of size n from a population of N that contains k of a designated type. Sampling is performed without replacement and the population contains only two types:  the designated one and nondesignated. The distribution gives the probability that in the sample, x is of the designated type.
