Binomial Probability Distribution
The
Binomial Probability Distribution
can be applied to a situation where a sample of
n
events observed. Each event can have exactly
two
outcomes: "success" or "failure." The sampling is performed
with replacement
so that each event is independent; that is the probability for "success" is the same. The disribution gives the probability that
X
= 0, 1, 2, ..., n "successes" occur.
