Test SummaryTest 3 is a one-hour exam that covers chapters 5 and 6 of the Precalculus course including:
All homework for this section must be done and submitted no later than the time you begin the test. If any assignments have not been previously submitted, then give them to your teacher before you begin the test. The format of the test is similar to the first two tests. It is a closed book and closed notes exercise and consists of a number of short problems and questions similar to those found in the sample test. Space will be provided with each question or problem to work out the answer. If you need more space, then use the back of the test pages and include a note on the front page directing the reader to look at the back. A calculator is needed. On the exam itself, put down what you know about each problem and explain yourself—partial credit will be given if possible and appropriate. A question left blank earns zero—something that is written down if relevant but not complete may earn a portion of the possible points. Sometimes a simple diagram can be very helpful as part of your explanation. The test is worth 100 points. The point value for each problem is given in parentheses. You have 60 minutes. Plan on spending about five minutes on a 10 point problem. Budget your time! Do not spend 30 minutes on a 5 point problem and run out of time. If you can finish the test in about 50 minutes, then you have time to go back to those you may be uncertain about and to double check your work. The best way to prepare is to:
